In this video you are going to watch an interesting interview by a Hindu Brahmin sister who embraced Islam after studying the message of Islam deeply. She told in her interview that she is Dr. Meena and she belongs to a Brahmin family.

Basic Philosophical Questions

When Meena was studying in her college, many philosophical questions came into her mind such as: What is man? Where did we come from? Where are we going? Is there a God? What is He? What is the relationship between Him and us? What should we do?

When she did not get satisfactory answers to her questions, she engaged herself more in religious studies and began studying Geeta in order to discover the mystery of existence and life. Religion is responsible for talking about God and interpreting the faith and dogma and God is the Only authentic source to explain the creation. The more she studied Hinduism, the more her questions became complicated and tough.

The Hindu Holy Scripture Geeta

She read Geeta several times and discussed it with her family members and friends as well as she talked about her questions with her teacher who taught her Geeta but still she was not satisfied at all.

She heard frequently from her Muslim friends about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who liked him very much and tried to follow his footsteps in every aspect of the life. Thus, she began her search in Islam seeking answers for her philosophical and objective questions.

At first, she did not pay attention to her Muslim friend’s talks about Islam believing that her own religion; Hinduism was superior to her friend’s religion; Islam. Rather, she tried to introduce Hinduism to her Muslim friends and invite them to the Hinduism.

The Nature of Divine

However, she began studying the Glorious Qur’an and when she studied the meaning of Surat Al-Ikhlas, she got surprised by the wonderful and divine nature of the verse. Surat Al-Ikhlas talks about God in a brief and concise manner. The meaning of the Surah is as follows:

Say (O Muhammad!): “He is Allah, the One, Allah is the Self-Sufficient, Master, Whom all creatures need, He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him. (Al-Ikhlas 112:1-4)

According to her, the description of the Glorious Qur’an for God’s qualities is perfect and logical. Thus, she was attracted to Islam and continued her study until she was satisfied that Islam is the true path of pleasure and salvation.

It is noteworthy that she began her conversation with the greeting of Islam “Assalumu `Alaikum wa-Rahmatullahi wa-Barakathu (may the peace and peace of God and His blessings be upon you).”

What is Durood Ibrahim?

After that she recited the Durood Ibrahim: “Allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa`ala ali muhammad, kama sallayta `ala ibrahima wa `ala ali ibrahim, innaka hamidun majid, Allahumma barik `ala muhammadin wa`ala ali muhammad, kama barakta `ala ibrahima wa`ala ali ibrahim, innaka hamidun majid” (O Allah, exalt our leader Muhammad and the people of our leader Muhammad, as You did exalt our leader Abraham and the people of our leader Abraham. O Allah, bless our leader Muhammad and the people of our leader Muhammad, as You did bless our leader Abraham and the people of our leader Abraham, verily You are Praiseworthy, and Glorious.)
