What is the Meaning of Ayodhya?

A statue of Shivling worshipped by Hindus.

In this video, a Muslim Chaturvedi scholar recites some Sanskrit mantras of Bhavishya Purana and proves the truth of Islam. One of the Mantras says that Raja Bhoj traveled from India and came to Makkah and met the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) when he knew that the moon was spilt by the order of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with the permission of Allah the Almighty as a miracle for him to certify his prophethood.

Is Makkah Ayodhya?

In this context, the scholar explains that Yudh in Sanskrit means war and Ayudhya means the place where the war is prohibited. According to Islamic Jurisprudence, war is prohibited in Makkah and its surroundings. No violence is allowed in that sacred area. Thus, the mantra means that Raja Bhoj came to Makkah where violence is prohibited. He became honored with a meeting with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and asked him: “Did you split the moon?” The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) answered: “Yes, I did by pointing to the moon with my finger by the permission of Allah the Almighty.”

Splitting the Moon in Hindu Scripture

The words of the King were recorded in the Bhavishya Puran when he took the honor of talking with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him):” O Prophet! I came to you, I salute you, please, regard me a slave of you; you are doing many miracles that could not be done by any person on this earth. (You split the moon and no one can do that. And Abu Jahal one of the uncles and bitter enemy of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) picked pebbles from the earth and closed his hand upon them and asked the Prophet (peace be upon him): “Tell me what is in my hand?” The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked him saying: “Do you want me to tell you what is in your hand or whatever is in your hand will tell you who am I?” Then the pebbles in the hand of Abu Jahal began reciting the Kalimah “Ashhadu Alla Ilaha Illallah Wa Ashhadu Anna Muhammadan Abduhu Wa Rasuluh, (I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Servant and Apostle.)

The story says that Raja Bhoj saluted the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and told: “I came to you and make me amongst your slaves and servants.”

Some Identities of Muslims in Bhavishya Puran

Raja Bhoj made his will as was mentioned in Bhavishya Purana and mentioned some important signs of the Muslims. One of them is that Muslims will grow long beards but they will never tie knots in their beards, and they will shave off their heads but they will never leave the bunch of hair in the middle of the head, like the Hindus do who shave off their whole head but leave tuft of hair in the middle of the head.

Are Ganges and Yamuna from the Hair of Shankar?

Some Hindus leave a bunch of hair in the middle of the head after shaving off the whole head. According to the Hindu mythology, both Indian rivers, the Ganges, and Yamuna sprung out of the hair of Shankar Ji, a famous Hindu deity.

Fountain of Water Under the feet of the Prophet Isma`il (peace be upon him)

It has been mentioned in Islamic tradition that the fountain of Zamzam in Makkah sprung out from the earth when the Prophet Isma`il (peace be upon him) rubbed his feet frequently crying for water. There was no water and his mother Hajar was running between the Safa Mountain and Marwah Mountain in search of water. When she returned to her son, she found the water springing from the earth and tried to stop the flow of water by saying in Arabic Zamzam, or stop, stop.

In addition, Raja Bhoj predicted that Muslims will come to India and advised his people to follow the religion of the Muslims.

The prediction of Raja Bhoj included that Muslims will recite the name of their God loudly standing on high places.

Was Adhan Mentioned in Hindu Scriptures?

The speaker referred to the Bhavishya Puran that says that Muslims will chant the name of God loudly standing on tops. In fact, this sign refers to the adhan or the call for the five daily prayers as Muslims do not ring bell for gathering the people for the prayer instead of that they chant the name of Allah the Almighty saying : “Allahu Akbar (God is great) Allahu Akbar (God is great).

Circumcision in Hindu Scriptures

In addition, the signs of the Muslims included the tradition of circumcision amongst Muslim males. The speaker mentions that the Hindus used to practice the tradition of circumcision in ancient times.

Circumcision in Hinduism

The speaker has argued that the worship of Shiv ling amongst Hindus is based on the practice of circumcision.

The prediction included also, the food habits of the Muslims as the mantra has mentioned that Muslims will eat all types of food; vegetables and meat but they never eat an animal upon which the name of Allah has not been recited when slaughtering. And they will never eat swine and dog.
